Yes. The Community plan is free, and responding to another organization's verification request is always free, on every plan — it's a community obligation, not a paid feature. What's metered on paid plans is the volume of verification requests your own organization creates.

Yes — at signup you choose whether you're registering as HR or as the business owner/leadership. If you're the owner and also handle HR yourself, you get full access from day one, with no need to wait on inviting anyone else.

A verification case can't be sent to any organization until the candidate has explicitly given consent. Candidate data is retained only for a defined period after a case closes, then archived or anonymized — it isn't kept indefinitely.

It's based on how responsive and reliable your organization is when helping others verify employment — never on company size, spend, or membership plan. There's no public leaderboard; recognition is framed as mentorship, not competition.

The verification request still goes out by email with a simple, no-login response form. If that organization later registers, the history can optionally be linked to their account.
